Gabriel Paixão Soares (Duque de Caxias, October 1, 1998), known as MC G15, emerged in São Paulo’s funk scene after 2015. He first gained traction with 2016 singles “Você Foi Diferente” and “Falei Pra Elas,” but true stardom arrived in November 2016 when he released the anthem “Deu Onda.” That song—reborn in a radio-friendly version in December—dominated Carnivals, topped global playlists by early 2017, and shattered records with 19 million views in its first week, establishing MC G15 as the voice of funk ousadia. He sustained his momentum with 2017's “Cara Bacana” and continued into 2018 with “A Distância Tá Maltratando” and “Ela Vem” (2019). In 2020, MC G15 showcased introspection via the Lado B project, followed by a strong return in 2022 with the album Quinze. Subsequent releases include energetic 2024 tracks like “Malvado Favorito” and, in 2025, "A Melhor do Ano."
