Mauvaise Bouche is a singer-songwriter from Montpellier, who made her musical debut with "Solo" and "La Râleuse" in 2022. Born in Paris, she grew up in the South of France, where she studied oboe, piano and singing, before attending the Perpignan Conservatory and the Montpellier Jazz School. Working with producer Smogy, she shapes a sleek, modern, hybrid sound universe, somewhere between pop, hip-hop and soul, in the tradition of James Blake, Bon Iver or Kanye West(Jesus Is King, The Life of Pablo). Her lyrics, nourished by the moment and reality, blend emotion, lucidity and self-mockery. She speaks poetically of her anger, doubts and hopes, in a style inspired by Frank Ocean, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu. Her track"Dingue", released in 2022, accumulated over 1.5 million streams on Spotify. In 2023, the artist released her first EP MOOD 1. She followed this up in 2024 with"Comme au cinéma".
