Danish-Palestinian rapper Mohamed Marwan, known professionally as Marwan, was born in 1980. He moved to Denmark from Saudi Arabia at the age of ten and grew up in Aarhus. Marwan began his music career writing rap songs around 2000 and gained initial recognition through collaborations with the Aarhus crew Pimp-A-Lot. His debut solo album, P.E.R.K.E.R., was released in February 2009 under Tabu Records. Following this, Marwan released his second album, Mennesker, in October 2010. In 2017, he released the single "Århus V Veteran" featuring L.O.C. Marwan also formed the band SortHandsk in 2019 with Michel Svane and Søren Bendz, releasing their self-titled album in September 2021.
