Mark Isaacs, born on June 22, 1958 in London, is an Australian classical and jazz composer and pianist. He began his career with the release of Originals in 1980. Throughout his career, Isaacs released several notable albums including Preludes (1987), Encounters (1990), On Reflection (1998), and Closer (2000). He has also composed music for film and television, contributing to productions such as A Tale of Two Cities (1984) and The Adventures of Robin Hood (1985). Isaacs' work has been recognized with various awards including the Albert H. Maggs Composition Award (2007) and Jean Bogan Prize for Piano Composition in 2012 for Children's Songs. He is also a volunteer telephone counsellor at Lifeline Australia, showcasing his commitment to community service alongside his musical endeavors.
