Born in Sunchales, Santa Fe, on September 13, 1988, and raised in Buenos Aires, Marilina Bertoldi emerged as the fiery frontwoman of alternative rock band Connor Questa in 2010, dropping the debut EP Marilina Connor Questa and albums Somos por Partes (2011) and Fuego al Universo (2013), before launching her solo career with El Peso del Aire Suspirado (2012) and La Presencia de las Personas que se Van (2014). She solidified her voice with Sexo con Modelos (2016), earning a Latin Grammy nomination and winning a Gardel for Best Female Rock Album, then set Argentina ablaze in 2018 with the guitar-fueled Prender un Fuego, which won Gardel de Oro (Album of the Year) — only the second woman ever to claim the top prize — and sent single “Fumar de Día” into song-of-the-year contention. After releasing Mojigata in 2022 and earning another Latin Grammy nod, Marilina Bertoldi entered a new era in April 2025 by previewing her upcoming fifth album PARA QUIEN TRABAJAS Vol. I with the bold single “El Gordo,” delivering raw emotional insight over upbeat rock riffs while handling production duties herself
