Maria Creuza Silva Lima, also known as Maria Creuza, born on February 26, 1944, in Esplanada, Brazil, is a singer. As a teenager, she gained prominence as the crooner of the group 'Les Girls,' leading to invitations for radio programs and television appearances. In 1966, she performed "Se não houvesse Maria" at the O Brasil Canta festival on TV Excelsior. The following year, she participated in the III Festival de Música Popular Brasileira with "Festa no Terreiro de Alaketu." In 1970, Maria Creuza was invited by VinÃcius de Moraes to perform in Uruguay and Argentina, resulting in the live album En La Fusa con Maria Creuza y Toquinho. Notable albums include Yo... MarÃa Creuza (1971), which features "Mais que nada" and "Chega de saudade," and Eu sei que vou te amar (1972) with VinÃcius de Moraes and Toquinho.
