Mara Tremblay

Born on July 21, 1969 in Hauterive (Canada), Mara Tremblay is a Quebec rock singer. She was a member of the bands Les Maringouins, Lard Bédaine, Les Colocs and Les Frères à Ch'val, before embarking on a solo career in 1999. That same year, she released her first album, Le Chihuahua . In October, she won three Félix awards at the ADISQ gala in the categories Album of the Year - Alternative Rock, Cover of the Year and Music Video Producer of the Year. She also won the Félix-Leclerc song award from the Fondation Félix-Leclerc. In 2001, she released her second opus, Papillons , with the song " Les Aurores ", which brought her to the attention of Quebec radio stations. With the arrival of her second child, she took a break for a few years until 2005, when the album Les Nouvelles Lunes was released, followed by Tu M'Intimides in 2009. The latter was named Album of the Year at the Gala alternatif de la musique indépendante du Québec. In 2011, Mara Tremblay releases her fifth album, in which she revisits part of her repertoire. In autumn, she launched her first novel, Mon Amoureux Est une Maison d'Automne. In 2014, she presents the opus À la Manière des Anges, followed by Cassiopée in 2017, which she directs. In 2020, she launches the album Uniquement Pour Toi, followed in 2021 by a demo of the Papillons opus released 20 years earlier.
