Magazin is a Croatian pop band formed in 1979 under the name Dalmatinski Magazin, by Željko Baričić and bassist Nenad Vesanović. Influenced by Dalmatian music, they incorporated modern pop ingredients into 1980s Yugoslavia, achieving widespread success by the middle of the decade. After debuting with various drummers and keyboardists, including Tonči Huljić and debut singer Marija Kuzmić, the band took off with her replacement by Ljiljana Nikolovska and the album Kokolo (1983), which sold a hundred thousand copies. In 1985, Piši mi doubled the number of copies sold, and the group achieved its greatest popularity with the following albums: Put Putujem (1986), Magazin (1987), Besame Noći (1988) and Dobro Jutro (1989). In 1990, a new era was ushered in with a change in the name of the record company: the state label Jugoton became Croatia Records, and Magazin continued with a new singer, Danijela Martinović, who appeared on three albums until 1994, when Croatia declared independence in 1991. As popular as ever, the quartet went on to record five albums with singer Jelena Rozga, present until 2004 on Paaa...? Three years later, the band resurfaced with new musicians. Željko Baričić and bassist Nenad Vesanović are this time supported by Ivan Huljić on keyboards and, as figurehead, singer Ivana Kovač on the albums Dama i Car (2007) and Bossa n' Magazin (2008). A six-year break followed, before a return in 2014 with Andrea Šušnjara and the album Mislim Pozitivno! After a ten-year silence, the two original members reappear as a trio, joined by Lorena Bućan, for a new version of the hit "Nesvjestica".
