Mack Keane is a Los Angelesâbased singer, songwriter, and producer recognized for a modern R&B sound rooted in classic soul traditions. Born into a musical familyâhis father is producer Tom Keane, his mother is singer and actress Paula Mulcahy, and his grandfather was Del-Fi Records founder Bob Keaneâhe grew up surrounded by studio culture. While attending NYUâs Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Mack Keane refined a style influenced by Donny Hathaway, Earth, Wind & Fire, Steely Dan, OutKast, Pharrell Williams, and Frank Ocean. He first gained wider attention with the 2016 single "Model Behavior", followed by his self-titled EP in 2017. In 2019, Mack Keane released the companion projects "Donna Ave" and "Aquanetta Dr", continuing the autobiographical thread he later expanded on "Dry Creek Rd" in 2020. His 2022 collaborative EP Intersections with producer esta. highlighted his smooth vocal phrasing and layered, groove-focused production. Frequently working with artists such as Destin Conrad and Joyce Wrice, he has become associated with the SoCal Soul movement. On "Ordinary Feelings"(2026), Mack Keane further explores understated emotion and nostalgic textures, pairing intimate lyricism with warm instrumentation. His 2025 project Entries continued that evolution, reinforcing his reputation for blending 1970s soul influences with contemporary R&B subtlety.
