Lydia Night

American singer, guitarist and songwriter born on October 13, 2000 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Lydia Night is best known for her membership of the bands Pretty Little Demons and The Regrettes, before turning to a solo career. Born Lydia Victoria Night, she grew up in Los Angeles and began singing at an early age. In 2012, at just eleven years of age, she founded the punk-pop duo Pretty Little Demons with her drummer Marlhy Murphy, becoming at the time the youngest artist to perform at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin. The duo released an EP and an album(Unknown Species) before disbanding. In 2015, Lydia Night formed the band The Regrettes, of which she became lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and figurehead. The band makes a name for itself with a sound that blends punk rock, garage pop and retro influences, with assertively feminist lyrics. Their debut album Feel Your Feelings Fool! was released in 2017 to positive acclaim for its raw energy and unfiltered discourse on adolescence, sexism and self-esteem. The second album, How Do You Love? is released in 2019 and explores the different stages of love and relationships with greater maturity. In 2022, The Regrettes released Further Joy, a 3rd album with a more pop and introspective sound. After the group split up in December 2023, Lydia Night opted for a solo career, releasing the singles "Pity Party", "The Hearse" and "Gutter", featured on her first personal album, Parody of Pleasure (2025).
