Lusine

Jeff McIlwain, known professionally as Lusine, is an American musician, born in Dallas, Texas. He studied music electronics and sound design at the California Institute of the Arts. His career began after meeting Shad T. Scott, founder of Miami-based label Isophlux, which released his debut album L’usine in 1999. McIlwain continued to release music on labels such as U-Cover and Hymen Records before signing with Ghostly International for the 2004 album Serial Hodgepodge. He also composed film scores, often collaborating with David Wingo on projects like Snow Angels and Joe. His 2009 album A Certain Distance marked a shift towards pop music. In 2013, he released The Waiting Room, which included vocal tracks. He released the album Long Light in 2023.
