Lurine Cato

Lurine Lilian Cato is a British gospel singer, songwriter, and session vocalist. Born in the United Kingdom, she began her musical career at the age of three. She later formed the duo Redeemed with Marie Carter and, as a backing vocalist, toured with Kylie Minogue in the early 2000s and contributed vocals to Adele’s debut album 19 on the track “Best for Last.” In 2013, Cato won the MOBO Award for Best Gospel Act. She released her album Chosen To Serve in 2016 and has issued a number of singles as both a lead and featured artist. In 2018, she was a finalist on the 12th series of Britain’s Got Talent with the B Positive Choir. She was later appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to charity and music in 2020.
