LukHash

LukHash (real name Lukasz Polkowski, born 18 August 1984 in Wrocław is an Edinburgh-based music producer blending nostalgic 8-bit sounds with futuristic synthwave aesthetics to craft a sound that’s both retro and forward-thinking. Drawing from a deep love of classic video games, cyberpunk culture, and 1980s synth music, he creates high-energy tracks that combine vintage hardware—like Commodore 64s and Nintendo Game Boys—with modern production techniques. With a sound often described as chiptune meets cyberpunk, LukHash has built a loyal global following through his immersive, genre-defying albums and electrifying live sets. His music seamlessly fuses pulsing synths, glitchy arpeggios, and soaring melodies, evoking the feeling of neon-lit arcades and dystopian cityscapes. Releasing music independently since the early 2010s, LukHash has garnered acclaim across the synthwave, retro-electronic, and gaming music communities, with multiple features on platforms like NewRetroWave, Bandcamp, and YouTube’s synth scene. He has since amassed a digital discography that spans multiple singles and albums such as 2021's CyberChip, 2023's Virtual Burnout, and 2025's Home Arcade.
