Luísa Sonza

Born in Tuparendi, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil on July 18, 1998, Luísa Sonza is a singer, songwriter, and social media influencer. She has more than 21 million followers on social media and is one of the most popular Brazilian influencers in the world. She began her career at the age of 7 when she performed at the Gaucho folklore community center in her hometown before being hired to join girl group Sol Maior. For the next 10 years, she would perform at up to 24 concerts per month. Wanting to be recognized as a solo performer, she started making videos and posting them on social media. Because she performed other artists’ songs, she was nicknamed the ‘Queen of Covers’. Universal Music saw potential in her talents and signed her in May 2017, immediately releasing her debut single “Good Vibes”. Her second single, “Olhos Castanhos”, appeared a few months later. She released her debut self-titled EP in October 2017 and continued to build a devoted audience. In 2018, she released the EP track “Rebolar (Twerking)” as a single and it climbed to number 1 on social media. Luísa Sonza began making small steps into acting, making guest appearances on several Brazilian television sitcoms. She performed a song – “Nunca Foi Sorte (It Was Never By Chance)” for the soundtrack to popular telenovela O Sétimo Guardião, eventually releasing it as a single. In 2019, she issued her debut album, Pandora, which was an enormous success. Her second album, Doce 22, was released in July 2021 and was another success. The album features the hit single “Melhor Sozinha :-)-:” Following the release of the collaborative single "Mama.cita (Hasta La Vista)" with Xamã and Karol Conká in 2022, Luísa Sonza began teasing her third full-length album in 2023 through the singles "Campo de Morango," "Principalmente Me Sinto Arrasada," and "Penhasco2," featuring Demi Lovato. Escândalo Íntimo arrived later that year and broke the record for most-streamed album on the day of its release, surpasing Jão's Super. It also featured cameos by Marina Sena, Baco Exu do Blues, and Duda Beat.
