Lloyd Spiegel

Lloyd Spiegel, born in Melbourne, Australia, is a guitarist, songwriter, and singer known for his work in blues, blues rock, and folk blues. He began performing at age 10 and was influenced by artists such as Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. At 13, he formed the band Midnight Special, which he fronted from 1993 to 1998. Spiegel's solo career started in 1996, with extensive tours across multiple countries. His debut album Tall Stories was released in 2004, followed by notable releases including Timber & Steel (2006), Double Live Set (2015) and Backroads (2018). He has collaborated with drummer Tim Burnham since 2012. In 2002, Spiegel became the face of Cole Clark Guitars, contributing to their research and development. He has won multiple awards, including the Blues And Roots Radio Worldwide Album of the Year (2018) and various Australian Blues Awards.
