Lincoln Browder, known professionally as Link, was born on October 12, 1964, in Dallas, Texas. He began his musical journey singing in gospel choirs and later performed with a group during high school. His breakthrough came when Darrell Delite Allamby recruited him to sing in the R&B group Protege. After writing the hit "My Body" for the R&B supergroup LSG, Link secured his own recording contract with Relativity Records. Link's debut album Sex Down was released in June 1998, and featured the Top 40 hit single "Whatcha Gonna Do?", which peaked at Number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Number 15 on the US Billboard R&B chart. The track also reached Number 48 on the UK Singles Chart in November 1998. A second charting single, "I Don't Wanna See", from the same album, achieved Number 43 on the US R&B chart and Number 25 on the Hot Singles Sales chart. Link has also contributed songs to artists such as Silk, Tony Thompson, Tamar Braxton, K-Ci & JoJo, and Gerald Levert. In 2008, he released his second album, Creepin', independently, followed by digital single "Erotic" in 2013.
