Before winning the fourth edition of the famous TV talent show The Voice, la plus belle voix, in 2015, Lilian Renaud had come a long way from his little village of Mamirolle, in the Doubs region of France. He was born there on October 11, 1991, and grew up surrounded by his five brothers and sisters. After forming an acoustic duo with a friend, he travelled to Paris for the first time to take part in the TV talent show, without abandoning his trade as an artisan cheesemaker. Buoyed by his success on the show, the Franc-Comtois singer set about recording his debut album, which reached No. 5 on the best-seller list. Released in November 2015, Le Bruit de l'Aube includes the singles "Promis juré" and "Pour ne plus avoir peur". Singer Ycare, already featured on this first album, sings a duet track on the next, Le Coeur Qui Cogne, unveiled a year later and including, in addition to the single "Savoir dire merci", two songs written by Zazie. In 2019, after a three-year absence, Lilian Renaud made a comeback with a self-produced album bearing his name, which reached number 7 in the French best-seller charts. This was followed in 2021 by the studio album Dans Un Moment de Bonheur , featuring a mix of English and French tracks. It is led by the single "Who Do You Love". Alongside his contributions to the L'Héritage Goldman collective, the singer works on his 5th album Le Champ des Possibles (2025), including the singles "Tourne" and "Que deviendra ce monde".
