Lidia Borda, born on 18 April 1966 in San Martín, Argentina, is a singer known for her contributions to tango music. She began studying singing during her adolescence and initially explored various musical genres before dedicating herself exclusively to tango in 1995. Her first album, Entre sueños, was released in 1996 under the label La Placita. Her career includes notable collaborations with artists such as Luis Cardei and performances at prestigious festivals worldwide, including the Festival de Otoño in Portugal and the Festival Internacional de Tango in Buenos Aires. She has received several awards, including the Diploma al Mérito from the Fundación Konex in 2005 and 2015, and the Premio Gardel in 2011 for her album Manzi, caminos de barro y pampa. She was declared Ciudadana Ilustre of Buenos Aires in 2019.
