Les Rats d'Swompe

Franco-Ontarian folk-rock band formed in 2016 in Ottawa (Canada), made up of Martin Rocheleau, Patrick Pharand and Yan Leduc. In 2018, two members were added to Les Rats d'Swompe, Brandon Girouard as well as Simon Joly. That same year, the album Vivre En Ville was released, and the title track topped the pop-rock radio charts in Quebec. Three other songs from this opus were also successful: " Chevaliers de la table ronde ", " Le Temps des pommes " and " Monde de fous ". They go on to play nearly 250 shows in Ontario and Quebec. In 2019, the band wins the Group of the Year award at the Prix Trille-Or gala, which recognizes the artistic excellence of French-language song and music artists in Ontario and Western Canada. In 2022, the group releases a second album, Elixir, with Robert Langlois producing and Fred St-Gelais mixing. The songs " À la revoyure ", " À notre tour " and a folk version of the traditional hit " Les Raftmans " were successful in Quebec that same year.
