Les Claypoolâs Duo de Twang is an American country duo formed in 2012, featuring Primus bassist Les Claypool and guitarist Bryan Kehoe. The band originated as a one-off gig for the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco but continued after a camping trip with Claypool's son. Their music blended elements of Americana, bluegrass, country, hillbilly, and rock, drawing inspiration from jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and country musicians Johnny Horton, Jerry Reed, and Vernon Dalhart. Their debut album, Four Foot Shack, was released in February 2014, via ATO Records, which included original songs and covers from various artists such as Bee Gees and Alice in Chains. The duo has also performed at notable venues including the McKittrick Hotel and Jam Cruise.
