Lenar

Lenar is a Peruvian music producer and DJ (real name Leonardo Pascual) who built his reputation in the early 2020s by uploading mixes that combined Andean huayno with trap, phonk and funk influences, sharing them for several years on YouTube before entering the official streaming market. This groundwork led to his first widely distributed release on December 14, 2024, when he issued the single "Feel The Zapateo, Vol. 1", a track that framed traditional zapateo-style percussion within a modern electronic groove. On May 7, 2025 he followed with "SOLO" and on June 28, 2025 he put out "No Llores", another self-written track that translated the huayno song "Corazoncito no llores" into his emerging “huayno phonk” style, which Peruvian press highlighted as part of a new fusion trend. In August 2025 he broadened his palette with "Un nudo" with Ailis Blue, released as a single that paired atmospheric vocals with his characteristic slowed funk production, before consolidating his romantic line on September 1, 2025 with the four-track EP Amor de Verano - EP, which revolved around the song "Amor de Verano" and several progressively slower variations. The key breakthrough arrived on September 20, 2025 with the baile-funk release Montagem Miau - EP on the Launch13 label, whose tracklist included "Montagem Miau" and "Montagem Miau (Slowed)."
