Celina Consuela Gabriella Carvajal, known professionally as Lena Hall, was born on January 30, 1980, in San Francisco, California. She is an American singer and actress who began her career in musical theater. Hall released the album Central Booking in 2012 with her band The Deafening. From 2018 to 2019, she released a series of EPs under the title Obsessed, featuring interpretations of songs by various artists including Hedwig and the Angry Inch. She also released the album The Villa Satori: Growing up Haight Ashbury in 2020. Hall's acting career includes roles in Broadway productions such as Kinky Boots, for which she won a Tony Award in 2014, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which earned her a Grammy nomination.
