Leila Alcasid

Leila Isabel van Eimeren–Alcasid, known professionally as Leila Alcasid, was born on October 16, 1997, in the Philippines. She is a Filipino-Australian singer-songwriter who spent her early childhood in the Philippines before moving to Australia at age five following her parents' separation. In 2017, Alcasid returned to the Philippines to pursue her music career seriously under the guidance of her father, Ogie Alcasid. Her debut single "Completely in Love" was released on February 23, 2018, earning positive media reviews and marking her official entry into the Philippine music scene. She followed this with standalone singles "I'm Not" (2018) and "Someday Paradise" (2019). In January 2020, she released the single "Better Weather," which served as the lead track for her first extended play Better Weather, released in 2020.
