Leæther Strip

Leæther Strip is a Danish electro-industrial and electronic body music project founded in 1988 by Claus Larsen, born on November 13, 1967, in Aalborg, Denmark. He began his musical journey with various bands before releasing his first music under the name Leæther Strip in 1989. He released his debut album The Pleasure of Penetration, produced by Talla 2XLC and Ra/Hen, on Zoth Ommog Records in 1990. Throughout the 1990s, Larsen released several notable albums including Science for the Satanic Citizen in 1990, Serenade for the Dead in 1994, and Legacy of Hate and Lust in 1995. He signed with Alfa Matrix in 2005. After a period of dormancy, he returned with the album The Giant Minutes to the Dawn in 2007. He recorded songs addressing political themes, including "Suicide Bombers" and "AEighty AEight". He performed live at the Power Strip Festival in the United States and the Amphi Festival in Germany in the summer of 2009. Larsen's husband and band companion, Kurt Grünewaldt Hansen, died on September 28, 2020.
