Lazy Mutha Fucka (LMF) is a pioneering Cantonese hip-hop collective from Hong Kong, founded in 1993 by Cheung Yee Sik (亞式). Initially known as the "Heavy Metal Students Association," the group first performed at the "Dark Entry" concerts before solidifying as a band in 1998 with members from various local bands. LMF’s music blends rap, rock, and metal, often addressing themes such as social alienation, economic oppression, and cultural identity, with lyrics that critique Hong Kong’s political and economic landscape. Despite facing controversy for their explicit content and raw image, LMF achieved significant underground success, with their self-titled debut album selling nearly 100,000 copies in 1998, a remarkable feat for an indie group in Hong Kong. After disbanding in 2003, LMF reunited in 2009, releasing new material and embarking on the Wild Lazy Tour in Hong Kong and Singapore.
