Born in Naïma-Oujda, in the eastern region of Morocco, raï singer Mohammed Boukhrissi is better known under the pseudonym Lazaro. In 2020, he released his first song , "Laachq Lkhafi", which won him local recognition. As a composer and performer, he mixes Raï with R&B, rap and pop, both on his own tracks and for other artists. In 2024, his song "Mahboul Ana" made the rounds on social networks and became a phenomenon far beyond Morocco's borders, thanks to his video, which ranked among the most viewed in France, Spain and Canada.
