Laurie Berkner, born March 15, 1969, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, is a French-American children's music artist. She began performing professionally in 1992 with the rock band Red Onion before transitioning to children's music. Her first work, Whaddaya Think of That?, was released in 1997 as a cassette-only release. In 1998, she formed Two Tomatoes Records and released Buzz Buzz, which included notable songs like "Pig on Her Head" and "Monster Boogie". Berkner achieved national fame with the 1999 release of Victor Vito and subsequent appearances on shows like The Today Show in 2001. She has performed at high-profile venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the White House Easter Egg Roll. Her album releases include Under a Shady Tree (2002) and A Laurie Berkner Christmas (2012).
