Silvana Savorelli, known professionally as Lara Saint Paul, was an Italian Eritrean singer born in 1945. She debuted at the Festival della canzone italiana in 1962 under the name Tanya. Adopting the stage name Lara Saint Paul, she participated in several music festivals including the Festival delle Rose. Her breakthrough came in 1968 at the Sanremo Music Festival with "Mi va di cantare", performed alongside Louis Armstrong. She returned to Sanremo in 1972 and 1973. In 1988, she served as a producer for the Sanremo Music Festival. Lara Saint Paul collaborated with notable talents such as Quincy Jones, Ray Charles, Lionel Hampton, Louis Armstrong, Roberta Flack, Frank Sinatra, and Stevie Wonder. She passed away in 2018.
