Landry Ifouta

Landry Ifouta was born on November 11, 1969 in Port Gentil, Gabon. His interest in dancing and singing began in the 1980s. At first, he made a living from his dancing skills, performing in local nightclubs and imitating the steps of Michael Jackson. In 1996, he moved to Libreville and turned to singing this time. He gave concerts in the capital's cabarets, before recording his first single, "U Make Me Feel Good " (1998). Two years later, he worked with producer Jean-Yves Messan on his first studio album, Aurore . He then recorded two opuses in quick succession, Proximité (2002) and Sans Commentaire (2003) at R.A. Onouviet, before releasing De Mokoko in 2006, produced by patron Richard Auguste Onouviet. Two years later, he developed Mbamba y Mbamba . In 2009, he released Tapis Rouge . In 2019, he was forced to deny a rumor circulating on social networks that he was dead. That same year, he celebrated twenty years in the music business with a concert at Libreville's Casino Croisette, where he performed his iconic songs such as "Eyonga Zalougou" (2000), "Craning " (2006) and "Mon ami" (2009).
