La Secta AllStar, a rock en Español band from Puerto Rico, was formed in 1997 by Mark Kilpatrick, Gustavo Laureano, John Lengel, and Carlos Figueroa. The band's origins trace back to Orlando, Florida, where Kilpatrick and Laureano studied sound engineering before moving to Miami Beach. La Secta AllStar released their debut album Aniquila in 1998, which produced four Top 40 hit singles: "Se Acabó", "Recompensa", "Nunca Jamás" and "Bombón de Azúcar". The band's follow-up albums included Consejo (2005), featuring collaborations with artists like Wilkins, Wisin & Yandel. The album's hit single "La Locura Automática" (2005) reached Number 1 in over 13 countries. In 2008, La Secta AllStar released Fuego, which won a Premio Lo Nuestro award for Rock Album of the Year.
