La Monja Enana

La Monja Enana, a Spanish musical duo formed in 1997, consisted of Ana Vaquero and Juan Alonso. The group initially included a third member, Julia, who left shortly after its formation. La Monja Enana gained early recognition with their debut EP Pídeme un deseo (1999), released in 1999. In 2000, their single "Pídeme un deseo" was named Single of the Week by the British music magazine Melody Maker, a notable achievement for a Spanish band at the time.
