KWS, a British pop group from Nottingham, was formed in 1992 and consisted of Chris King, Winston "Winnie" Williams, and Delroy St. Joseph. The band's name is derived from the initials of its members' names. KWS gained prominence with their cover version of "Please Don’t Go" by KC and the Sunshine Band, released as a double A-side single with "Game Boy", which reached Number 1 on the UK Charts in 1992 and achieved gold certification in Australia. This success was followed by another hit, "Rock Your Baby", a cover of George McCrae's 1974 song, which peaked at number 8 in the UK. Throughout their career, KWS released several singles, including KWS (1992), "Hold Back The Night" (1992), "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" (1993), with their debut album Please Don’t Go appearing in 1994, which included the hit song "Game Boy". King died on March 22, 2023 and Williams passed away in January, 2024.
