Brothers Daniel and Markus Slettebakken formed the production and DJ dup Kream in 2015 in Bergen, Norway. The first gained attention online in 2015 when they posted a remix of Tove Loâs âTalking Bodyâ. That year they would also release remixes of work by artists such as Major Lazer and M-22. After signing with Atlantic, they scored a number 21 hit on the U.S. Dance/Electronic Songs chart with âTaped Up Heartâ, a 2016 collaboration with Clara Mae. Kream continued to release singles steadily throughout the rest of the decade including 2018âs Decisionsâ, a collaboration with Maria Wright that returned them to the U/S/ Electronic/Dance chart; 2019âs âAinât Thinkin Bout Youâ, with Eden Prince and Louisa; and 2020âs âAbout Youâ, which became one of the duoâs biggest hits in their home country. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kream recorded a series of live performances recorded in notable outdoor locations as well as in some of the most architecturally significant structures in Norway and released those shows online. In 2021 they returned to the American Dance charts with âTake Controlâ, a track that featured vocals by Zohara.
