Kostas Roukounas

Konstantinos (Kostas) Roukounas (Greek: ÎÏÏÏÎ±Ï Î¡Î¿ÏÎºÎ¿ÏÎ½Î±Ï) (Principality of Samos,[1] 1903 â Athens, 11 March 1984) was a Greek singer. His repertoire included both "traditional" (Î´Î·Î¼Î¿ÏÎ¹ÎºÎ¬) and "popular" songs (Î»Î±ÏÎºÎ¬). Most notable is his contribution to the genre of rebetiko (ÏÎµÎ¼ÏÎÏÎ¹ÎºÎ¿). Roukounas is generally known as a singer, however he was also a songwriter.
