Kim Yong-bin

Kim Yong-bin (born September 18, 1992) is a South Korean trot singer who first rose to fame in 2004 as a child prodigy in the genre. Debuting with his first album Debut Collection at just 12 years old, he captivated audiences with mature vocals and stage presence beyond his years. Known for his striking visuals and polished image, he gained attention in 2012 for his idol-like appearance, which contrasted with the traditional image of trot singers. His notable hit “Seonaya” showcased his emotional depth and vocal technique, appealing to a wide age range of listeners. After appearing on K-Trot National Sports Festival in 2020, he returned to the spotlight and solidified his popularity by winning Mr. Trot 3 in 2024. With a career spanning over 20 years, Kim continues to evolve as a respected figure in the modern trot scene. In 2025, he received a positive response for his remake of senior singer Hye Eun-i’s song “You Wouldn’t Know.”
