Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu, known professionally as Kim Chiu, was born on April 19, 1990, in Cebu City, Philippines. She rose to fame after winning the first teen edition of Pinoy Big Brother in 2006. Following her victory, Chiu signed with Star Records and released her debut album, Gwa Ai Di, which included the single "Crazy Love." Her breakthrough in music was marked by collaborations on various projects, including the TV series Sana Maulit Muli. Notable singles from her discography are "Bawal Lumabas" and "Mr. Right." All of her studio albums have been certified Gold or higher by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry.
