Kevin Richard Martin

Kevin Richard Martin was born in Weymouth, United Kingdom. He is a musician and music producer. As a teenager, he became interested in music through his visits to Handsome Dick's record store and exposure to bands like Joy Division and the Sex Pistols. His early musical endeavors began with a four-track recorder and effects pedal, influenced by dub music. Martin formed GOD, a jazzcore group that included Justin Broadrick of Godflesh. He later collaborated with Broadrick on Techno Animal, an industrial hip-hop and ambient-music project. Under his alias The Bug, Martin released Tapping the Conversation in 1997 and Pressure, which was released on Rephlex Records in 2003. His album London Zoo, released on Ninja Tune in 2008, received critical acclaim.
