Kenneth Lockie

Kenneth Lockie, born Peter Dellow in 1956 in Newcastle upon Tyne, is an English singer-songwriter, keyboardist, and producer. He officially changed his name in January 1980. Lockie was the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the new wave band Cowboys International, releasing the album The Original Sin in 1979. He subsequently pursued a solo career with Virgin Records, releasing the album The Impossible (1981), which featured guest appearances by John McGeoch and Jim Kerr. Lockie also collaborated with Public Image Ltd, co-writing the song “Radio 4” for the album Metal Box (1979). In 1984, he co-produced and co-wrote the song “Dominatrix Sleeps Tonight”, which reached Number One on the Billboard Dance Chart for ten weeks. In 2003, Lockie founded Pnuma Recordings, re-issuing archival material and releasing the 2004 Cowboys International album The Backwards Life of Romeo. Between 2011 and 2019, he produced and released recordings in various electronic genres, including techno and house.
