KEN mode

KEN mode, a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 10, 1999 by brothers Jesse Matthewson and Shane Matthewson along with Darryl Laxdal. The group released several demos between 1999 and 2003 before releasing their debut album, Mongrel, on Escape Artist Records. Following the release of Reprisal in 2006, the band underwent multiple lineup changes, including the departure of Laxdal. The group continued to tour extensively with notable acts such as Mastodon and Pelican. In 2011, KEN mode released their fourth album Venerable, which won the Juno Award for Heavy Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year in 2012. Their subsequent albums include Entrench (2013) and Success (2015).
