Kelly Yu

Kelly Yu, born Yu Wenwen on 7 November 1989 in Dalian, China, moved to Vancouver British Columbia with her family in 2004. At age 17 she released her first self-made album Evil Child with her band, marking the beginning of her music career. She then attended Berklee College of Music and later studied at Beijing Film Academy. Her breakthrough came in 2018 with the release of her album Undefined (尚未界定). Since then, she has released multiple albums including 幕间剧 (2021) and It's Me (2023), all composed by herself. She achieved significant success with songs like "体面" from 2017 which was featured in the film The Ex-File 3: The Return of the Exes. Yu has also appeared in numerous films including Moonfall (2022) and television series, showcasing her versatility as an actress and singer-songwriter. She won the third place in Sisters Who Make Waves Season 3 (2022). In 2023, the album It's Me was released. In 2024, she released the album Scorpio, featuring tracks like "Why Bother" and "已读不回". She released her sixth album 边界 in July 2026, featuring tracks like "好演员" and "劫".
