Kayla Brianna

Kayla Brianna Smith, known professionally as Kayla Brianna, was born on May 13, 1993, and is an American R&B singer and actress. The daughter of former NBA player and broadcaster Kenny Smith, she entered music in the early 2010s after being discovered by Vincent Herbert and signing with Interscope Records. Her first run included “Bombs Away” in 2012 and “I Got That” with Meek Mill in 2013, followed by an independent phase that included a Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-produced cover of “What’s Going On” in 2014. In 2015, Kayla Brianna appeared on the family reality series Meet the Smiths and released “Do You Remember” with Rich Homie Quan, which reached Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. She continued with “Work for It” with YFN Lucci in 2016, “Luck” with Dreezy in 2017, and “Confused” in 2018 before releasing her first album, Girl Talk, in 2019. Alongside music, she built acting credits under the name Kayla Smith, appearing in series such as Ambitions, All American, and NCIS: Los Angeles. After returning with later singles including “Down,” Kayla Brianna released “Energy” in 2025, then followed in 2026 with Lover Girl, a nine-track album issued through Smith Entertainment Group / EMPIRE and featuring songs such as “Perfume In The Wind,” “Energy,” “Party and BS,” and “Property.”
