Ana Karylle Padilla Tatlonghari, known mononymously as Karylle, was born on March 22, 1981, in Manila, Philippines. She is a singer and actress who began her career in theater with the musical Little Mermaid in 2000. Karylle's music career started with her debut album Time to Shine, released in 2001 under Universal Records. Her subsequent albums include You Make Me Sing (2005), Roadtrip (2014), and K (2013). In 2009, her album Time for Letting Go achieved platinum status. Karylle has won four Awit Awards, an Asian Television Award, two MTV Pilipinas Music Awards, a New York Festivals International TV and Film Award, and a Star Award for Television. She has also been nominated for various other awards including the Monte Carlo Festival, Aliw Awards, and Golden Screen Awards.
