Kanako Miyamoto

Kanako Miyamoto, born on November 4, 1989, in Tsuchiura, Ibaraki, is a Japanese voice actress, singer, and actress. She began her entertainment career in elementary school after joining the Toei Academy. Early on, she appeared in educational films and stage musicals, and was also part of the chorus group Young Fresh, contributing to various Pretty Cure series songs. Miyamoto made her solo debut in 2007 with the anime Yes! Pretty Cure 5, singing the first ending theme "Kirakira Shichatte My True Love!" and later the second, "Ganbalance de Dance ~Dreaming Miracles~"(2007). She also made a guest voice appearance in the anime and its movie adaptation. Expanding into voice acting in 2009, she landed her first lead role in 2011 and later voiced Cure Sword in DokiDoki! Pretty Cure (2013), marking a major breakthrough. In parallel, she hosted children’s programs, radio shows, and began releasing original music, including the mini-album Harmony (2010) and a full solo album in 2014. After a health-related hiatus starting in late 2014, she resumed activities in 2015 and later joined the agency Axel One. Miyamoto has since returned to singing for the Pretty Cure franchise, performing several opening and ending themes up through 2022, solidifying her legacy in the series.
