Kai Strauss, born on May 15, 1970 in Lengerich, Westphalia, Germany, is a blues guitarist and singer-songwriter. Growing up in Osnabrück, Strauss developed an early passion for blues music through his parents' record collection. He honed his skills at local blues jam nights before forming the band Bluecasters in the mid-1990s. Strauss began releasing albums under his own name in 2014, starting with Electric Blues. His subsequent releases include I Go By Feel (2015), Getting Personal (2017), and the live album Live In Concert (2019). Strauss has been recognized as a multiple winner of the German Blues Award and toured regularly with Kai Strauss & The Electric Blues All Stars.
