JUMEX

Chicago-bred and Los Angeles-based rapper, singer, and musician Mark Kiessling - better known as Jumex - was born on February 14, 2000 in Brookfield, Illinois. He’s also recorded under the names Lil Jumex, LoveJumex, and goodnightm4rk. Jumex grew up listening to classic punk bands like Black Flag and Operation Ivy, eventually joining a local punk band. His music evolved over time as he embraced emo, electronica, and psychedelic rock. His first solo single under his stage name Jumex – inspired by a Mexican drink of the same name – was “Trapped” (2018). The song went viral digitally, making way for his first EP, Loner, in June, 2019. The title track of the EP became another viral hit. The EP also featured singles such as “Billie Eilish”, “Wish Me Death”, and “Alive in My Coffin”. Jumex then toured Japan with metalcore band Crossfaith, and secured a high-profile show in L.A. with Yungblud. In September, he released his next EP, Lover, featuring the hits “Spraypaint” (with Blink-182’s Travis Barker), “Drugs”, and “City in the Snow”. On February 14, 2020 – his 20th birthday – he released the hit “XOXO” (featuring Lil Xan). He followed that a month later with the EP Nightmares, an experimental release under the pseudonym goodnightm4rk.
