Julio Mattos

Brazilian singer-songwriter Júlio Mattos, born in Brasilia, Distrito Federal, first developed his musical passion within local seresta gatherings and intimate live sets before venturing into recording. In 2022, he captured attention with the live album Buteco do Julio Mattos (Ao Vivo), which showcased his capacity to preserve seresta’s emotional depth and charm. Building on that momentum, he released the single “Coração Frio” in early 2025, exploring heartfelt lyricism and demonstrating his growing songwriting maturity. Later that year, Júlio Mattos unveiled the Seresta Sunset EP—a four-track exploration of twilight-themed serenades—led by the standout, six-minute centerpiece “La Mour (Agamenon) / Volta Amor,” featuring emotive vocals and João Lucas Ferreira’s guitar that together honor the elegiac romanticism of classic Brazilian popular music.
