Julia Peng, born 20 April 1972 in Liudui Hakka Village, Pingtung County, Taiwan, is a Taiwanese singer. She was discovered by Cheng Po-qiu of Elite Music Company in 1995 and released her debut album Speaking From the Heart(1996), followed by Julia (1997) and Seeing Through (1998), with early songs such as "Love To The Point Of No Return"and "Regret Not Meeting Earlier". In 1997, Peng received the Best New Artist Award at the 8th Golden Melody Awards. After parting with Elite Music, she released albums including First Time (2000) and various compilations such as The Flowing Record (2002) and Absolute Collection (2007), and performed in the musical Wishing We Last Forever, portraying a young Teresa Teng. Her participation in the 2013 season of I Am a Singer expanded her audience in mainland China. In 2016, Peng won the Golden Melody Award for Best Mandarin Female Singer for the album Darling. Subsequent releases such as ææ³å¿µæèªå·± (2017) and 太é£å±äº (2021) followed her continued music career.
