Juan Duque, born in 1996 in Medellín, Colombia, began his artistic journey as a member of the comedy collective Latiners while studying business, transitioning to music in 2018 with his debut single “Olas.” Over the next few years he steadily cultivated a reputation for romantic urbano-pop, releasing tracks like “+Chimbita” (2022) and “X Ti Lo Digo” (2022), and leveraging his strong social media presence to build an engaged fanbase. His breakthrough arrived in March 2023 with the hit single “María,” which became his first major success and led to his debut EP Qué Momento Pa’ Estar Vivo in November 2023. That year he also toured internationally, expanding beyond Colombia. In late 2024, under Warner Music’s WEA Latina, Juan Duque dropped his debut full-length album Mis Traumas, Mis Chistes, spotlighting his storytelling range and emotional lyricism. In 2025 he continued releasing standout singles including the viral Afrobeats-tinged anthem “Solcito” (with Miguel Bueno), which gained traction globally via social media and streaming platforms; further hits include “Pensando En Ti” (2025), “Un Afrito” (2025), “Traguita” (2025), and “Ojalá” (2025) with rapper Nanpa Básico, as well as an Alok remix of “Solcito.”
