Joshua James

Joshua James is an American singer-songwriter who is based out of American Fork, Utah, and Lincoln, Nebraska. He began his professional music career in 2003 and released the album B-Sides: It's Dark Outside (2006). James achieved commercial success with the digital release of The Sun Is Always Brighter (2007), which reached Number 1 on the iTunes Folk Album list and sold over 25,000 copies by the end of 2008. This album earned him a place in the September 2008 issue of Paste Magazine as one of their “Next 25 Artists You Need To Know”. NPR also featured his track “The New Love Song” as a “Song of the Day”. His discography includes the albums Build Me This (2009), From The Top of Willamette Mountain (2012), and My Spirit Sister (2017). James also released the recordings Dreams of Karen (2020) and Forever In Life, For Now (2021). His music has been featured in the television series Sons of Anarchy, with the song “Coal Wars” appearing in the fourth season and “Crash This Train” in the sixth season.
