Jordan Alexander Ward, known professionally as Jordan Ward, was born on February 1, 1995, in St. Louis, Missouri, and is an American singer-songwriter and dancer. He began his career as a dancer, studying ballet, jazz, and hip-hop during his adolescence. After graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles, where he worked as a backup dancer for artists such as Justin Bieber and Becky G. Ward's transition to music began in 2017 with the release of his debut project A Peak at the Summit. He followed this with several singles and EPs, including "MUSTARD" featuring 6LACK. In 2023, Ward released his second studio album FORWARD, which debuted on the Billboard R&B chart in the U.S. That same year, he performed at the 55th NAACP Image Awards and received a nomination for Outstanding New Artist. The second studio album, BACKWARD, includes the notable track "THEMSELVES," which was released on January 30, 2026.
